Puppy Application
Every person who is interested in a puppy from us will need to fill out an application. We encourage you to fill the application out completely and honestly. The more information you give us the better. We do require a vet reference and three references from friends or family. Any false information found on the application will automatically result in your application being denied. As stated in our "About Us" page, we have to like you to trust you with one of our pups. They are our pride and joy and we don't take their existence lightly. They remain our responsibility from birth to death. The interview process is extensive and may require a home visit or virtual home visit. I would love to say that there are no wrong answers, but I would be lying. However, I've owned Danes while in school and working full time, living in an apartment and while living on acres of land, with and without a fence, had to use a run and a kennel, etc. None of these things are deciding factors for us. Please contact us and we will be happy to email you an application.

Our contract covers our 3 year health guarantee, puppy registration information, purchaser and breeder responsibilities and more. It is available by request to anyone interested and must be signed and returned to us before/with the holding fee and prior to taking possession of the puppy/dog. The purchasers holding fee will reinforce their compliance to the terms listed in our contract. Holding Fees
Are exactly that.
We require one fourth of the cost of
your puppy/dog as a holding fee.
This is a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE
Please be sure of your purchase before sending in your holding fee. Under no circumstances will it be refunded if you suddenly decide a puppy from us isn't right for you and your family. In some cases, we will hold the fee over for a puppy from a future litter if we decide it is warranted, but those cases are few and far between and entirely up to our discretion. Once you have signed your contract, paid your holding fee and chosen your puppy we will not allow any changes to be made. (No puppy switching etc.) We do not allow pups to leave until at least 8 weeks of age and the purchase price is paid in full. We will happily board your puppy with us for a fee of $50 per week until the full price plus additional fees are paid.
We reserve the right to refuse service to a puppy buyer at any time.
If we elect to refuse service after a deposit on a puppy is
made and we do not offer you a reason we will refund your full deposit
and any other monies sent in towards the balance of the purchase price of the pup.

Picking Your Puppy
Your holding fee is paid, you are ready to pick your puppy!... Here is how that works.
Your pick will be determined by the order in which we receive the signed contract and holding fees on that particular litter.
A holding fee my be sent anytime before or after a litter is born. If paid in advance, your fee will apply to the next available litter or to a specific planned litter in the future.
We do not allow anyone to choose a puppy until the litter in question is 4 weeks of age. At four weeks, barring any major complications, the puppies are up, moving and flourishing. In our opinion there are too many variables in the first four weeks to allow someone to set their heart on a single pup. Also, those are very busy weeks and we like to spend that time focusing entirely on the litter. We will put (at the least) weekly updates with pictures/videos of the entire litter on Facebook so the purchasers can see the pups progress. Once the litter reaches four weeks of age we will contact each purchaser, in order, to confirm their chosen puppy. Each purchaser will have 48 hours in which to confirm their choice. If you have not chosen within 48 hours of us contacting you we will move on to the next person in line and return to you once they have made their choice. At that point you will have another 48 hours, and so on.
Gator Danes reserves the right to, at any time, refuse service to any puppy purchaser. All fees will be returned to the purchaser if we decide our puppies are not the right fit for you.

We will hold them on the weekend, mid afternoon, and outside if the weather permits. If the weather does not permit outside playtime we will see purchasers only by appointment on Saturdays.
Please take caution before coming to see your puppy. Parvo virus and other deadly illnesses can be carried in on the bottom of a shoe. We require anyone who comes to the play date to step into a bleach bath before entering the yard and house (please do not wear your favorite shoes!) and please refrain from visiting places such as the grocery store/Petsmart, etc before coming by. This minimizes the chances of the litter contracting an infectious illness.
We will only allow visitors on weekends. Although we love our puppy purchasers to spend time with their pups and bond with them we do stay extremely busy during the week. We also limit visits to help ensure that the litter remains healthy.

Puppy Pick up Day
Generally puppies will go home at 8 weeks of age. Pick up days are again on Saturdays. We try to stagger the times so that we are able to spend time with the new owners one on one to go over any last minute questions or concerns.
If, for some reason, you are not able to pick up your puppy on the assigned pick up day a fee of $10 per day ($50 per week maximum) will be charged for boarding.
WE DO NOT ALLOW PICK UPS MID WEEK.
We work and spend time with the dogs during
the week and we are not able to work around our
schedule to accommodate everyone.

A Brief Note
We do not guarantee that your puppy will be able to leave our home at the age of 8 weeks. Some puppies are going to need more time to develop than others, that is how nature works. We reserve the right to hold a puppy over the agreed on pick up date, at no cost to the purchaser, if we feel that the puppy needs more time with us before heading to it's new home.
